CoH Stories:
Joyce Wanjiku
I learned about Montessori education through my younger brother, who enrolled in the Corner of Hope school. Seeing him motivated me to follow the training and to become a Montessori teacher.

What I find special about Corner of Hope is that the children learn by doing things themselves. They take care of plants, they blow their nose, they know how to sweep, and they learn to use polite language. At Corner of Hope, teachers follow the child's needs and use materials instead of lectures.

I aspire to be a teacher who will help many children to nurture their potential and who is a good role model for the children. I hope to learn more about Montessori in the future.
